LOCUS Architecture is a spirited collaboration of fearless architects, designers and carpenters. We provide inventive designs for environmentally and socially responsible residential, commercial and public projects. We are one of few design/build firms in the Twin Cities established by architects rather than a builder. Building our own projects allows us to evolve our designs during construction and maintain aesthetic control over every step of the process.
We are also creators of nowhaus-an initiative to reinvent the urban family home in a more artistic and sustainable manner. nowhaus 01 is our first foray into this rich territory.
LOCUS has been honored with numerous design awards and published in national and regional magazines and publications for our contemporary residential design projects. Most recently, we were named Emerging Talent of the Year by the 2004 Midwest Home Awards, sponsored by Midwest Home in partnership with the American Institute of Architects Minnesota.
